Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

- Bird watching. The park also features over 350 bird species, including 23 Albertine Rift endemics. It’s truly a haven for bird enthusiasts.
Murchison Falls National Park

- Wildlife safaris. Book a safari to see elephants, lions, giraffes, and hippos in their natural habitats. The park is also a prime location for river cruises.
Queen Elizabeth National Park
- Tree-climbing lions. Queen Elizabeth is one of the few places in the world where you can see tree-climbing lions. They can be spotted lounging on fig trees in the Ishasha Sector.
- Kazinga Channel. This channel is a natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George, and it’s the habitat of one of the highest concentrations of hippos in Africa. Boat trips offer close-up views of the hippos, as well as crocodiles and water birds.
Kibale National Park
- Chimpanzee tracking. Known as the primate capital of the world, Kibale is home to 13 primate species. Guided chimpanzee-tracking tours provide close encounters with humanity’s closest relatives.
- Nature walks. Get your steps in and venture through scenic forest paths rich with diverse plants and animals. You’ll also have opportunities to see other primates, birds, and butterflies.

Jinja
- Source of the Nile. Jinja is the starting point of the world’s longest river, the Nile. It’s popular for white-water rafting, kayaking, and bungee jumping.
- Cultural experiences. Explore local markets and interact with the friendly Basoga people. You may also want to wander around the vibrant city center and savor its colonial-era architecture.
Lake Bunyonyi
- Scenic beauty. Lake Bunyonyi is known as the “place of many little birds.” It’s surrounded by terraced hills and dotted with 29 islands.
- Relaxation and recreation. The lake is ideal for canoeing, swimming, and bird watching. Peaceful retreat programs and eco-friendly accommodations are also available.
Rwenzori Mountains
- Hiking and mountaineering. This range is known as the “Mountains of the Moon.” It offers challenging treks with stunning views of glaciers and alpine flora.
